Runrio Trilogy leg 1: The Run United 1 2016

image

A little over a week ago, I, and several other runners were invited to the second edition of Mornings with Active Health in UP. In cooperation with Runrio, Inc., we were treated to a runner’s usual training day activity, led by the new UP Track Team coach, Rio Dela Cruz.

After several sets of running drills and an easy run around the academic oval, we proceeded to Chocolate Kiss Restaurant where the Active Health and Runrio Team, presented to us the details of the Run United 1 2016, and a glimpse of RU2/RUPM and the exciting surprises they have and will be launching this year. In this regard, the Active Health Team is also encouraging runners to update their profile if and when they receive an email regarding this.

They also showed us a prototype of the finishers’ shirt and singlet for the rest of the series.

The medal design was also presented…a lot may contest that it is just a repeat of the 2015 design. In some ways it’s true, but what they envisioned was that runners would be able to assemble it together with their past RU medals. Even a team could assemble theirs and make it as big as a table, the options will be limitless.
