GLOBE Run4Home 2011

March 27, 2011

I was fortunate enough to be invited last Wednesday for the launch of this year’s Globe Run4Home at the Filipinas Heritage Library at the Nielsen Tower in Makati. Here, we are given a rundown of what to expect.

From the new route to the 5 race categories, I’m pretty sure that all are excited to join this year. Add the new innovations that they’re putting in like the “auto” fb stat update after you pass thru timing mats along the route and they are now giving each runner the option to choose their own beneficiary for the race. The beneficiaries this year are Gawad Kalinga, Habitat for Humanity, Haribon Foundation, and Virlanie Foundation.

I’ve ran the past two editions of this race and enjoyed them both. Last year’s was kinda new to the runner’s since it was held at the Ayala Triangle and passed thru Greenbelt, but I think there were some issues regarding the parking that’s why they reverted back to the old and trusted Bonifacio Global City. I’m sure this year’s Globe Run4Home will be bigger and definitely much better, with Events King and Runrio joining hands, this will surely be a big success.

Race categories, Registration fees and Gun starts are as follows:

3k – P650 – 6:00am

5k – P750 – 5:45am

10k – P850 – 5:30am

15k – P950 – 5:15am

21k – P1050 – 5:00am

So what are you waiting for, head on now to the 4th floor, Cinema Lobby of Greenbelt 3 in Makati City (from 12noon to 8:00pm, ’til March 20, 2011) or you may log on to www.globe.com.ph/run for online registration.
